Our schools organize different types of courses, all using the most advanced teaching methods combined with cultural seminars, audio visuals, reading of newspapers and magazines and playing of games.
All courses run from Monday to Friday. On the first day of attendance, there is a test to determine the level of Italian. This enables us to accurately place the students in a homogeneous group and to determine what standard the student might reasonably expect to attain in the allotted time. Thus we can tailor the academic content of the course to the individual's needs and current abilities. The student will then be invited to join either a group that is already formed or -should he or she wish it or in cases where there is no appropriate group- classes can be created especially to facilitate the progress of the individual student. When formed, our classes are made up of students from different countries who have the same linguistic level of Italian. All the lessons are of 45 minutes. The only language spoken in class is Italian.
The prices of the courses are in Euro and are specific to each of our schools; as a non-profit organisation, Italiamo's prices respond to the varying local economic conditions at each of our sites and always to the benefit of our students.

"Super Intensive Language" Course "Intensive Language" Course "Lingua alla Carta" "Combined Language" Course "Semi Intensive Language" Course

A) "Super Intensive Language" Course: intensive course for those who want the maximum results.
Courses are in small groups. The minimum duration of this course is 2 weeks, with a total of 60 lessons. There are 10 levels. This course will only be held if a class of at least theree people can be formed. Beginners are required to take Intensive Course first, then take this course after a level-up. The lessons are held from Monday to Friday.
This course is available at the locations: Livorno, Firenze and Venezia.

B) "Intensive Language" Course: course with guaranteed results. A CILS level every 24 weeks.
This course is offered for small groups. Each level will have a minimum of 3 students. The minimum course duration is 1 weeks for a total of 20 lessons. This course is offered throughout the year. Lessons take place from Monday to Friday:grammar, conversation and "Lab" exercises.
This course is available at the locations: Livorno, Firenze, Venezia, Roma, Isola d'Elba, Milano, Napoli, Castelraimondo and Palermo.

C) "Lingua alla Carta": these are courses planned around small groups.
There are 10 levels. Lessons run from Monday to Friday both in the morning and afternoon. This course represents a new and radical way to study the Italian language and culture because it guarantees absolute freedom from the starting date of the course as well as the number of lesson hours on a daily or weekly basis. Furthermore it has been carefully researched to ensure the study of each topic identified avoiding useless and obvious repetitions of things already perfectly understood. This permits the student to construct the course based on the following parameters, starting level, time at disposal and level reached. Every day there are traditional lessons of grammar and/or conversation called "Portate" together with other lessons held in a special linguistic laboratory, using an innovative teaching method known as "Lab", in which the teacher is present merely to give assistance should students require it. The "Portate" focus not only on grammatical questions but also on the conversational dilemmas of Italian speech as they appear to foreigners; the language's idiosyncrasies. The topics are carefully selected using the results of the students' first day tests to give teachers guidance as to individual student's points of difficulty in using Italian freely as well as correctly. In this course, there are also lessons in phonetics, and literature. These traditional methods are supported by involvement in diverse day-to-day activities, all carried out under the supervision of the teacher, which brings the student into contact with our language and its modes, such as the reading of newspapers, watching films, singing songs and educational games of all kinds. The "Lab" method of teaching (multimedia linguistic laboratory) is carried out by a student working alone -as much as possible- with a personal computer and a variety of instructive and testing programmes. The teacher's involvement here is to give assistance to students as and when it is required.

F) "Combined Language" Course: take advantage of studying in a group and making new friends as well as individual lessons targeting your personal needs.
Small group courses + individual lessons. The minimum course duration is 2 weeks. These courses have had huge success because they offer the advantages of a larger groups (economic benefits and contact with other people) and those of individual courses (close relationship with the teacher and the possibility to examine specific problems for the individual student from the group lessons). The individual hours of one-to-one tuition can be combined with those of the group courses (either the "Super Intensive Language" Course, the "Intensive Language" Course or the "Semi intensive Language" Course), adding the price of individual hours to the cost of the group course.

DI) "Semi Intensive Language" Course: course for those who already know Italian, or work or live in Italy.

DE) "Extensive Language " Course: Our organization offer this course exclusively to foreigners living in Italy who want to learn Italian in few hours a day available.

E) "Individual Language" Course: one teacher for one student–discount of 50% for eventual second student.
One student: one teacher. Unquestionably, this is the quickest way to learn Italian. To suit the student, lessons can number anywhere from 2 to 10 per day and can also include lunch with the teacher. This type of course allows the student freedom to attend classes whenever he/she wants and this freedom extends to the choice of the content of the lessons themselves, though of course, under the teacher's guidance. On request, it is possible for the student to opt for outside lessons or accompanied trips and visits to places and events that stimulate the student's own interest and facilitate development of the student's understanding and knowledge of Italy, it's language, culture and it's people. In these cases, the student must advise us on the registration form of his tastes and preferences. Students who attend the course from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm can take advantage of a discount (non-cumulative with other discounts offered). A possible additional person is entitled to a discount (non-cumulative with other discounts).

N) "Preparation for C.I.L.S. Examination" Course: intensive Course with individual lessons and practice exams focusing on your selected exam.

BC) "Language and Football" Course: you can play football in a real Italian team leaning the language.
Our organization is a guaranteed reference point to find a team suitable for the students' own ability. We introduce students to the team and assist them during the selections. In addition we help students for the medical certifications and related papers. A certificate of attendance will be given at the end.

G) "Preconstituted mini Groups": Italian Language Course for groups of students or friends who have particular needs and want a personal program.
